After a whole-day morning extra class, I felt my eyes were failing. Looking out of the window, I took a deep breath: Sooner or later, all these will pay off. My first class supposed to be taken at 7:50a.m. Perhaps I came back home too late after last night's evening class, the ring bell only woke my palm up this morning. After a period of time, 5 minutes? 10 minutes? 20? I don't know. Through the door, I heard Mom's yelling. Sitting up with a start, I caught a glimpse of the clock: 7:00 By the time I finished buttoning my shirt, I had already known there was no way I didn't get late. I was a little depressed while riding the bicycle when suddenly KFC passed my eyes. I paused, thought for a second, then turned back... After parking the bike, I went right into KFC. 8:20a.m., sitting on a window seat, I focused myself on an exercise paper while warming my hands with the coffee cup. That's my idea. I changed my schedule and take the class at a later time. I didn't get late, but when the class came to an end, it was already 12:30. I felt hungry and sleepy. My lunch was managed at a fast-food restaurant, and after that, I was on my way again. I stopped by at ACES center to quick-check my email. There, I got chance to talk with Brian. After such a long time, I felt so glad to see him. Hearing his super-fast English, I smiled secretly: Brian always talked with me as if I were really a native speaker. Sometimes the speed appears to be so absurd to me I could barely catch what he was saying. But instead of worrying, I'd rather face it as something that can boost my confidence ( btw, Janna and Dave, please don't tell Brian about about this part.) I told Brian that I am actually repeating the grade and when he asked me how school's going, I told him that set aside the extra class, I felt pretty lucky because now I comparatively have got much more "free" time to study than before: School is over at 5:15p.m. , then the rest of the night is yours. Unlike my former high school which ends at 8:30p.m. every night, you can manage the study time by YOURSELF and choose which subject to focus on baced on your own preference. Brian laughed: " Then I've got much FREE time to work today!" I gave him a forced smile. 30 minutes after our conversation, I was already in the library. There, I spent the rest of my day. Since I entered this new school, every week, there were different things happening to me: good things, bad things, and some things in between. 10 weeks ago, Sunday night, my bro lent me his cross and told me that he'll pray for me. 9-7 weeks ago, just get into a new environment, exciting, get to know the new teachers and classmates around. 6 weeks ago, I got to know more about my seat parter: an a-little-on-weight boy who said he was the most handsome boy in town. He always talks in a funny way and make us laugh. 5 weeks ago, getting , just focusing on the study 4 weeks ago, Oct.1st , holiday. I went to my grandpa's, aunt's and spent many days in the city library. 3 weeks ago, the first monthly exam. 2 weeks ago, Friday morning, our monitor got seriously ill(it's an emergency case) and was sent to the nearest hospital. I passed two biology classes and spent half the morning with him and his parents at the "emergency treatment room"( I don't know how to say that in English exactly). In the same week, I found a good place to study after school's over... Last week, my seat partner wouldn't talk to me because he thought the lovely girl he fell for in our class asked me to hefp with her English too many times. I wrote a note to tell him that there's nothing between that girl and me besides normal friendship but he wouldn't listen. Tomorrow.... Sometimes life is complex, so complex that you don't know what to expect. But just live with faith and bear in mind that no matter what happened, there must be a way out ,believe that no matter what happened, we need to go on. I believe I know who might be watching my blog right now , hey there, I miss you a lot! -Andy |
